WHy is the transistor loading the circuit when it is cut off

Please see the attached circuit. In this circuit the transistor M8 whose gate is connected to the Piece wise linear source. is put in cutoff because the piecewise linear source always gives 0 output voltage.
But the problem is that the circuit simply doesn't work as it works without the transistor drain connected to it. The 2 stage opamp output is in microvolts and Va and Vb are nearly 1 volt !!!
I just don't understand what is wrong with it. I am trying to implement a startup circuit. The piecewise linear source is generating the transient which will be generated by the start up circuit.

Any views would be appreciated !!
