Re: EXPEDITION PCB help
I mentioned this problem earlier on this forum and also complained to Mentor.
It is quite clear that no real detailed manual exists for the WG suite and its tools
(DC, DesignView, ExpeditionPCB, Library Manager mostly).
In fact, the so called manual is more something like a "getting started"
guide and the on-line help is much more detailed. The first big problem is that
it is impossible to browse such a help from start to end because of its
unexistent structure as opposed to a book. The second problem is that
you can't find a topic/feature unless you know first how Mentor calls it.
Example: how would you find explanations about dividing a part in multiple
symbols untill you know this is called a "fracture" by Mentor?
My opinion is that is real gold for people organizing learning sessions
for these tools. The fact that no library is delivered along the WG product
means also that you are sentenced to modify lots of times your library
until you learn all the Library Manager tricks or... pay for private lessons.
