For PLL applications and inductors below 10 nH:

Is ASITIC or sonnet a good choice?

Thanks

ASITIC for fast simulation and approximations , but sonnet for more accuracy , but will consume time

Hello eejli,

I have seen accurate results & better speed in new Sonnet em Version 11.52...
even you can use advanced options to get quick results (Conformal mesh) without compromising simulation accuracy.....

Their lot of example available from sonnet...Remember Sonnet is EM analysis tool..
Where as ASITIC is a synthesis option for inductors...
So you can't expect much optimized or customized on chip inductor implimentations...
