which potocol ?

Hi friends,
I've the following problem:
in a measurement system I have 10 stations each equipped with an
arm7 board running uclinux. About every 10 ms each station has to send
a data packet to a master pc using ethernet. Which protocol should I use ?
I mean: I could have each node sending an email .. but doesn't seem the
right choice ... does exist a sort of master-slave protocol or something like
that ? examples ?
thanks

which potocol ?

http://www.modbus-ida.org/

it works over tcp ip as well. Specs are downloadable at same place . Search forum and inet to find source code examples .

Research also internet protocols . I think you even can use http to send data.

which potocol ?

maybe the UDP is much better.

which potocol ?

I think that ressembles to the project i'm working on: we use CAN to do.

pm for more.

Re: which potocol ?

Hi,
I'm interested to the UDP solution but if I understand well I should
anyhow define a protocol ... someone has C examples that I could use ?
thx
