other than microchip uC what other 8 16 or 32 bit uC are code protected and is the philips LPC21xx have a code protecting capability.

MSP430 is a 16 bit code protected microcontroller

Almost all ATMEL controllers provide protected code memory. Have a look at the datasheets at ATMEL website.
