Which is better for manual board layout, PCAD or PADS?

Folks,

Is PADS and PCAD the same thing? I've never seen either of them at work. Which one is better for manual board layout (without autorouter)? Which one is better for autorouting (or autorouter-aided layout)? Could you give links to their official web sites and trustworthy user groups?

No, PADS and PCAD are not the same thing.

PADS is a product of Mentor. PCAD is a discontinued product of Altium.

PCAD was a better tool than PADS for both manual and autorouted layout; however, it has been discontinued. Altium wants all PCAD users to switch to Altium Designer. Altium Designer is a better tool than PADS for manual routing; however, PADS has a better autorouter.

I think PADS Router is better for autorouting .
