Hi,
Can u be a little more Specific?? If your Question is intended for Which Type of Capacitor Usage is Better, I would Say, MIM Capacitors(Metal-In-Metal) Capacitors are better, as it has got good response at Higher Frequencies, But you have to compromise with the value of Cap, as it occupies more area. If u can alter the query, maybe I can provide better answers.
let's assume you're using poly-poly cap. for one big cap (not matched to anything else) it's ok to make two large sheets of poly, with a metal cross as the top contact and a ring of metal around the bottom plate for the bottom contact.
if you need matched capacitors, you would use unit cell layout.
Well when it comes to layout, you need to take considerations about many things , so we can't declare that one cap is better than other it depends on :-
Process
Application
Layout Techniques followed.
So its a very specific decision to make...some times we don't have choice too.
