Which boards could I use for processing and analysis of ECG signal?

I'm doing my project on ECG signal analysis (QRS detection majorly). I'm supposed to design a module which gets an ECG signal (i'll use recorded signal for it most probably) and after processing results will be generated. Can some one guide me which boards could i use for processing and analysis of ECG signal. One important thing that i'm to do all filtering in C; i'm not supposed to use matlab for it.

Can i use dsp pic board and microcontroller for the analysis of ECG signal. If someone has any other suggestion better than it: guide me.

ita al depend on how much intensive ur processing and data rate
