Do you know why the funding for "wheel motor" electric cars has stopped ?
they are twice as efficient as other electric cars
I have seen a prototype being happily driven around a test track.
Dame Ellen Macarthur’s got the right idea.
She has set up a foundation to look into helping us out of the MEGA-MESS we will worldwide be in when the last few drops of shallow-drill oil comes out of the middle east.
But I tell you this
Electric cars.
I know of a company who have made an electric car which is more than TWICE as efficient as any other……….
It uses four electric synchronous motors – one in each wheel._ “wheel motors”
But the governors will not let it be produced further because the speed “wanders” a bit.
In other words, you cannot drive at a constant 30mph, but you can go at 30mph maximum and your speed will wander from 27.5 to 30mph.
-but it only “wanders” slowly in this way. –say from 27.5 to 30 in some 7 seconds .
And you can brake (regeneratively!) any time you like.
Some fear about going smashing into the car in front would be quelled by cheaply available radar technology which automatically keeps your car a set distance away from the car in front by taking the power off once the distance gets too close.
Lets have this car now.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When oil runs out we will be so ruined we will be grateful for anything that goes from A to B. and twice the efficiency can’t be bad.

One barrel of oil does the same amount of work that 10 men could do in a year !!!
The world uses 85 million barrels of oil per day.
Unfortunately, not for much longer as its running out.
