function of the ic

i see a IC in a circuit. This IC is 6 pin DIP package .

ON it , print "ADO" , it's SMD　component ,

my question is what the function of this IC,

or who have its datasheet or weblink

i guess it is a analog to digital IC.
 

what else do you read on the ic
?
 

Many times, an IC function can be approximated by it's relevance to the overall circuit. If the device is physically located amoungst a digital block, device ports, power sections, etc. can help in determining what it could be.

Your going to find that the majority of electronic circuits follow design 'standards',. both in physical and logical layouts. Knowing the overall function helps zero in on the individual constituants.
