analog video shadow

Hello, I am working with a video controller and getting a strange shadow on all black lines when there is a white background. For example, look at the attachment.

Does anyone know what would cause something like this to happen without going into too much technical detail of how the board is layed out?

Maybe just a simple answer like ground bounce, not enough input video bandwidth, etc.

Thanks.
