good Rx Level?????

hi Engineers...Engineers plzzz tell me that what should b the good Rx Level while we r on Drive Test its required for me??IS ITS frm -40dB to -70dB????

Re: good Rx Level?????

-70dB is already good. just like for bluetooth application -70dB Rx level is the reference. going to -90dB and still your circuit can recieve well that means you've got a very nice Rx reciever

Re: good Rx Level?????

THX PLANTZE.....bt i want to know Rx Level range....CAN WE CONSIDER GOOD Rx Level RANGE FROM -45dB to -70dB ???when we r on DRIVE TEST of oue NETWORK..

may i know what are you testing? because for bluetooth, the minimum good level is -70dB at a place where no other bluetooth unit is working. it means that if i test a unit in a area that is there are more unit working and at -70dB the unit is still passing that means my unit tested is good. it could be the same situation with you. i don't know the minimum requirements for others.

Good RX level is where the SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio) at the detector/demodulator input, satisfies the RF system requirements.
Generally each RF communication system (using different modulation types) have different SNR requirements.
