Problem with ARP table or any firewall inbetween is rejecting all request???

So when this not works the ping commands does not know to which IP it should ping. For more information about DNS see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domain_Name_System Do try the ping command from the same machine from which you are going to the internet? (Then DNS works, otherwise you could not surf. Yes, probably it is a firewall problem. Have you the IP-address of a router or another computer in your network that you can ping? So you can test if the ping works in your local network.
