Hi All,

I set up an IE3D model to a PCB PIFA antenna, following the dimension and paramters from a paper by Texas Instrument. Attached is the paper decriptions download from TI website, and the geo file together with simulation configuration file setup by me. View attachment Small_Size_2R4G_PIFA_by_TI.rar However, my simulation results are far worse than the simulation plots provided by the paper: TI's paper gives a quite good simulation result with a return loss less than -15DB at a resonate of around 2.45GHz. However my model only provides -2.3dB at a resonate of around 2.35G, and z11 paramter is quite poor as well according to the simulation.

Could you please help check where might be the problem of my model?

Thanks,

kc

PS:For your information, in the attached I uses a finite ground but an infinite dielectric just to save the simulation time and I tried finite dielectrics and it did not make much difference.
