Simple definition...

Insertion delay: the time from clock pad to individual flop-flops.

insertion delay is other wise called as CLOCK LATENCY

Insertion delay is clock tree's delay.

the delay from clock tree's start point to the DFFs that be clocked.

clock insertion delay is nothing but clock netwrok delay. this is the delay from clock source input pad till the flops clock input
