Re: what is the difference between silicide and non silicide

Hi,
This silicide & non silicide fabrication process are important for controlling the resistance for the devices formed. Silicide process has low resistance and non silicide high resistance. They are mostly used for forming resistors.

The silicide was necessary for the gates, to enhance the speed of the MOS transistor, minimizing the RC constant at the gate.
