Current mode is neat for some things - like addition and
subtraction, without an amplifier. It can be faster because
a summing node can / should be zero impedance (high BW)
while voltage mode is always slew rate limited (high impedance
as a rule, and a current limited amplifier has a limited slew
against a parasitic load).
It's just another trick in the bag, don't let anybody get real
religious or Big/Little-Endian and drive you into one or the
other for their reasons - figure out yours.
