What is the BRAIN BOX system used in cars?

CAR BRAIN BOX

I walk into a mechanice workshop and I saw a lot of cars packed with the same complain .. BRAIN BOX. I descided to take a good survey of the problem and the result from other stations wasn't any better. As one of the mechanics told me .. they r really hard to come by. and some that u can see r too expensive.

Does anyone have a good idea on this system? I'll really love to know about it and would love to bring salvation to those cars
