What is the best simulator for VHDL language?

I think that the best is Aldec's Active-HDL, but Modelsim is great too.
However, you may drop the look to DirectVHDL - free software that you may find in the net on www.gmvhdl.com .

what do u mean by saying better simulator???in what way do these simulators differ..actually,i have worked only on modelsim and feel content with the same..so,i would like to know...

I would have to say Modelsim, its really easy to use

ok,in my opinion, Modelsim is the best,well you can get it from Altera Quartus

Interesting question... If you want to use modelsim Altera and Xilinx web edition have it... If you want to use Aldec you can have only time limited edition... Make your choise
