what is Silicon-proven Verification IP ?

hello all,

what i think is , verification IP is a kind of testbench used for correctness of DUT. Then what is this word "silicon proven testbench" ?
share what u know on this.

IP A was verified using VIP B. IP A was then put on silicon, and tested upon return of the fabricated chips. IP A was considered functional. Therefore VIP B is considered 'silicon proven'.

thanks . whats the difference between a Verification IP and Verification suite. are they same ?
