what is fingering

im a recent passout from college and joinged a semiconductor company and have doubts in following topics .....

what is leakage current and how it affects the circuit ?
how large fan-in and fan out affects
what is fingering , logical effort

what is leakge current

Leakage Current flow is due minority charge carriers. Due to this, the circuit might consume more power.

Large Fan-in & Fan-out cause more delay. This will affect the timing requirements.

for fingering, refer the following link

for more info on these topics, refer "Digital Integrated Circuits" book by Rabaey..
