Dear all,
what is an I/O transistor? Is it a standard transistor?
Thanks in advance

The question is missing a necessary context.
You have e.g. dedicated output transistors in ASIC libraries. They are usually larger than the transistors in logic gates.
Thanks for your reply.
I've read in some literature for example "I/O 2.5V transistor"
Hi,
Is this your missing context information?
--> my example: I´ve read in some literature about 0.5 liters. Please find out if it was about milk or motorcycles.
Klaus
On chip I/O transistors will differ from normal transistors in a number of ways. Much does depend upon the process. Generally...
larger than minimum L
W sized to meet drive requirements
larger contact to gate spacing
larger S/D overlap of contact
possibly no silicide
maybe thick gate ox
possibly double rows of contacts on S/D
I'm sure I missed something
