Hi all

I've heard that gEDA is a free software for EDA. It runs on Linux platform.
If someone used it, gives the coments and advices to me, please.

Regards

Hi there,
We use gEDA here at the Shadow Robot Company, and have designed all of the electronics for our robot hand on it: **broken link removed**

It's free software, and we have a saying: "you get what you pay for". So don't expect anything mindblowing. It's a pain to get working and the interface is odd (for a windows user). Sometimes it requires an unreal amount of clicking, interleaved with keyboard use.

Moving from the schematic to the PCB is fraught with difficulties.

But it does the job eventually, and it is improving all the time.

Did anyone of you try the Ngspice (spice simulator) that is also advertised in the gEDA page?

Is the Schematic Editor of gEDA still in development ?
