hello everyone
i wanna know about the differences between microstrip antenna and dielectric resonator antenna
about structure and about material and application

do they difference just in structure because of the height of patch in dielectric resonator?
how can calculate the size of the patch in dielectric resonator especially the height of the patch ??

They are same.

However we dare to say, modes are different.

Latter is a leaky resonator. Radiation is derived from equivalent magnetic wall currents.
On the other hand, radiation is derived from electric currents on line for former.

Of course, you can also think radiation is derived from electric currents on patch even in latter.

Choise is dependent on feeding scheme, radiation pattern, polarization, etc.
