Yes that is normally a relaxation oscillator since it is based on charging/discharging a capacitor. There are phase shift oscillators based on opamps
Some other types of oscillators are: (correct me if I am wrong..)
LC Oscillators (By utilizing some negative resistance circuit to build LC tank oscillations) (e.g. Colpitts? Hartley?)
Then there are Phase Shift Oscillators, which provide a phase shift of 360 in the loop at a particular frequency to generate oscillations at that frequency. (e.g. Wein Bridge Oscillator)
Then I have heard of emitter coupled oscillator, does it lie in any of the above categories? What is its principle of functioning?
