How to run dc motor

I want to use relays and circuit closers to run dc motor. I want rule it with PIC!

Re: How to run dc motor

Hello Brother!
The easy method for controller small DC motor is using controller chips like L293. ST have other chips, but more expensives (search in www.st.com). Other form is using discrete componentes (IGBT, BJT, MOSFET) for build the H-bridge (case where necessary reversion).
One start point for Your case maybe found in www.epanorama.net.

reed relays can handle surprising voltages and currents and some can even be driven by a microprocessor

for solid state motor control you may need to add a diode to protect against back emf especially if you are just turning it on and off
