Hi all,

I need to clarify another doubt in LEC
what is the use of Error pattern? Error candidate in Diagnosis Manager?

I read that there is change in simulation value?

I did n't understand this concept

Plz clarify me

Re: LEC

LEC divides the whole circuits into what are called compare points. Then it may try to put simulation patterns on all the pins/nets a compare point depends upon. So the big circuit has been breaked into small parts, and each part is analysed separately. If the compare point value turns out to be different in reference and implementation, LEC fails.
Hope it helps,
Kr,

Re: LEC

LEC checks the design for functional equivalence , by breaking the design into key points like DFF , inputs , outputs DLAT ..
It then forces these points with values to check if they produce the same effect in both reference and the design in question
These values for which the consequences are different are error patterns.
