i have used internal watchdog timer of At89c5131 clock at 8Mhz with X2=0; that means peripheral clock= (8/6) MHz ....

by setting watch dog counter to maxium setting of 7 ... i.e. 16384*S^2 machine cycles gives watch dog time aprox 3.1 sec where as i want upto 4.5 sec
is there any scheme/logic or way to attain that other than external hardware watchdog timer...?
