Hi guys, is any one have encounter that your UPS was suddenly shutdown during lightning storm (AC Supply fluctuate) ?
After we found out that the UPS was shutdown we just press to power switch and UPS back to normal.

Glad to know that it the UPS is back to normal. Lightning can cause voltage spikes that can couple to the control microprocessor and can shutdown the UPS. I cannot explore all possible scenarios.

Hi,

if an UPS shuts down on power line failures ... what is it good for?

For sure it can´t withstand all scenarios one can think of, but in most cases it should keep on running, independent of input...

You need to give more informations: Did it immediately shut down? Or: how long did it run? Are the batteries healthy? Is the load within specified limits? Is there a setup
where you can select how it should behave?

Ok, so we can say that not all power disturbance UPS can protect. Yeah after switching on UPS just back to normal.

Yes UPS just shutdown immediately a few second after lightning. Battery Health just fine. When the UPS was back to normal we try to unplug the UPS from the wall outlet and its seems normal back up time reach 15 min before plug-in back. The load is less than 10% from the capacity.
