uprade dell xps m1530 video ram

hi i was hoping someone here would have an answer to this, i have a dell 1530 motherboard (nvidia 8600 graphics) which is in need of a new gpu, as i was taking it apart i noticed that there are two empty gddr3 slots and two ocuppied, i was wandering if it is possible to uprade from 128mb gddr3 to 256mb gddr3 provided i purchase the same chips ?

you can upgrade to higher ram but frequency should match & see the user manual

thats great thanks, thinking about the amount ie 256mb could i go to 512mb gddr3 as well ?
