Re: Universal Programmer

I use ProPic2
Its easy to DIY and it's ideal for pic's. I think that support some avr too

Re: Universal Programmer

Hi MaverickMax,

You don't say *how* cheap. I've used several home-made programmers, and needed to build more, so I gave up and bought a Galep4:

It's cheap compared to most 'universal programmers' at $325.

So far I am *very* impressed with it - they support an amazing number of memory devices and MCUs, and even most GAL's and PAL's. They have just added support for the new PIC USB MCU's. It stops just short of CPLD's though.

If you can afford it, I highly recommend it.

Cheers,
FoxyRick.

Re: Universal Programmer

Did anyone made a universal programmer for pic, atmel and avr?

As they had suggested, just buy the programmer, maybe it is not worth the trouble building one and face the problems of not too much supported chips and software bugs or flaws.
