Unit cell area

Hello All,

I am using UMC Faraday 90 nm Generic Core Standard Cell Library (FSD0A_A_Generic_Core_WC).

What is the area unit in terms of sq.microns?

Hope someone can provide me this information.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Unit cell area

try this if useful or one basic idea...

Re: Unit cell area

Thanks.. will check for the details in the link provided.

Unit cell area

Have you tried opening the .lib in a text editor?

Re: Unit cell area

Since the cell width & height is in micro-meter i.e. 10e-6

So area calculated will be W*H which will yield um*um = (um)^2 i.e. square microns

Same thing applies to all other geometries

Unit cell area

You need to read the databook for your library.
You could read the .lib but if i recall that wont tell you the exact area, that will just tell you the units. You need the datasheet to figure out how many sq microns 1 unit is.

Regards
