Hi guys. I have two different kinds of stepper motors, 1st is PM42L-048 like this one.
Unipolar-Stepper-Motor.jpg

and 2nd is step syn 103h7126-0541
step syn.jpg

and i used both driver (unipolar and bipolar) for these motors but only 1st one is working, 2nd stepper motor is not working, don't know the reason????????
bipolar driver is this:
100994_2mg.jpg

and for unipolar me using the kit179
http://www.kitsrus.com/pdf/k179.pdf

wiring scheme for step syn motor is like
uni-polar-stepper-motor-windings.jpg
and connections to kits are as follow
M1A >>>>> A
M2A >>>>> Abar

M1B >>>>> B
M2B >>>>> Bbar

V+ >>>>>> A,Bcom

please verify what I am doing wrong, as motor is not working.

I think it will be useful for You:
http://www.jangeox.be/2013/10/change-unipolar-28byj-48-to-bipolar.html

The motors You have, have only 5 wires so You can't connect these motors "bipolar", like 6 wires motors, that have two coils and intermediate wire on each. In Your motors, the 5th wire connects the coils so even if You keep it floating, You can't predict what is going on in each coil. Also You can destroy motors or driver. So in this case the only possible configuration is to use bipolar driver and motor with cut wire like in the link above. I hope, it will be helpful for You.

Hi guys finally i am able to drive the motor(step syn), but i got some issues.
my motor is about 2.2amps but not getting it when operating at 12v. but on 24v its working on above 2 amps.
problem is i don't know the exact operating voltage for this motor neither i have its datasheet.
so is it save to operate it at 24v ???
also i am using l297 driver, schematic is this
View attachment M022.pdf
Note: Me using irfz44 instead of tip.

nop. at no load (motor was ok but mosfets are hot)

i don't know the rated speed. how can i know?

yup i have center tap is correct.
