unable to find cadence software in you $PATH error in starting up cadence

hi, please help me

when i try to run cadence in CentOS 5 an error states that it is unable to find cadence software in you $PATH

>cd usr/share/cadence/tools.lnx86/dfII/bin
>./virtuoso

can anyone help me.
