Type of Switch for corner sensor

Hi guys,

I have a project which need to clean the sharp corner using my vacuum robot. What is the name of the switch that can helps to detect when the robot was reach to the wall ?

*If using infrared sensor, it might change direction without vacuum the sharp corner.

I think what you want is a limit switch. This is simply a mechanical switch with some type of actuating mechanism; something as simple as a lever arm. Look at this, for ideas
