what will be the operation of the two input MUX if the select line of that MUX enters into high impedance state?

How to identify that input or data from bus entered into high impedance state?

1> In case mux_sel == X/Z then the designer has to decide whether the output is data_in1 or data_in2.

2> Write the RTL of mux, write a test-bench to simulate the various mux_sel cases, then view the signal waveforms.
