Hi everyone,

I am trying to design dc to ac converter. Right now, I playing with TL494 IC as recommended by many users. I am having a problem with frequency output I only get low output frequency. I did apply formula based on TL494 datasheet on how to compute output frequency. But no matter what I used for CT and RT value the result is always low frequency not more than 2 khz. I used the circuit based on the Datasheet but with the same result. tried different manufacturer of IC with the same result.

My setup
power source - ATX power supply for 12V
tester - DSO138 oscilloscope for wave and fre. test.

Any suggestion and help will highly appreciated.

Thanks,

Obviously you are doing something wrong. Show the exact circuit and CT waveform.
