hi all,
i have a question about design of pcb layout of my...
is there any direct relationship between the current, the frequency of signel and the width of tracks?
if i have line that should hold 4mAs of current, how much is the width of track of this wire?!!
thanks in advance

Re: tracks width

1mils=miliinchs =(1/1000)*25.4 mm=25.4µm

Re: tracks width

hi
ur skin depth depends on the frequency of the signal. skin depth matters the loss and thus the trace width has to be adjusted accordingly....and it is common sense that more current flows through a thicker trace due to R= ρl/a

It is open for everybody. Just tried and works.
