Hello

I am designing a board has ethernet connection and real time clock. I wanna use PIC18F66J65. Already Ethernet connection is there as a internal in pic18f66j65. But I have problem for real time clock application. Before I used DS1307 for microcontrollers that work on the 5V. I didnt satisfeid it.Because usually restart and starts produced date time. I wanted use DS3234. But it is very expensive. Should I use internal rtc via Timer1.

As a result, Can you advise how can I solve RTC problem. Which solution is better and works stable. Or we may change microcontroller models that have ethernet and internal rtc.

Thanks you

Internal RTC is effectively useless for low power backup solutions, e.g. lithium batteries due to large quiescent currents. I don't exactly understand your problems with DS1307.

I'm using DS1337 and RTC-8564 (has internal crystal) without a problem in many applications.

Thank FvM for your reply.
I have problem that should I use which solution for RTC ?
