Hi Fellaws,

Thought of polishing my skills in diagnosing a charging circuit by working with power electronics. I've got this nice little charging circuit with a good old step-up copper winding transformer.
Recently something went wrong and the fuse keeps on blowing up on the charging circuitry, maybe a surge or something. Replacing the fuse isn't helping. So I thought of playing around with a little.
Apparently the circuit looks clean with no clear burn-outs or bulged caps, I've checked all the diodes etc. I'm not ruling out the PCB yet but I'm pretty much convinced that its the transformer.
Question; How can I start diagnosing it? what things should I be testing?

Its sorted now. The MBR20100CTKPbF, Schottky rectifier was playing around and eventually blew up. Replaced it and now in mint condition.
