hi
can any one guide me thru embedded linux i need it the most how should i go thru it :?

You could try Monta Vista Linux.

If you need to port Linux on microcontrollers you have two choices:

- For micro with memory management unit you can use the standard Linux but the footprint of memory requirements can be high.

For micro without memory management unit probably the best distribution is uCLinux.

uCLinux work very well with very few (for an evoluted OS) requirements, also you can add only the OS modules and drivers that you really need.

Hi to all

If you already have the uC, you have to search into uCLinux distribution
HW compatibility (with the hope to find your uC in the list).

But if you want to start to learn something about uCLinux , Motorola
(now Freescale h**p://www.freescale.com) sell a development board
for the Coldfire series 5xxx ready to install a version of uCLinux.

Pay attention at the drivers for the peripherals, two years ago a friend of mine
have lost a lot of time to make USB working.

Good Luck!!!! You need it!!!
