Telit GM862-GPS

Hi all,
I have a GM862-GPS and also Li-Ion battery. I want to make a circuit which uses both external power supply, L5973 was used for that purpose, and battery. As i saw, there is a "charge" pin related to this job, i downloıaded the application note related with battery charging from telit.com but it came me not so obcvious. Maybe, if some schematic exist it would help me much more. Is there anybody can help me?
Thanks. Erdem.

Re: Telit GM862-GPS

Hi

A good advice from one who done many designs with TELIT module is to use an external charger IC

All the best

Hi,
Take a look to "power switch" and "power management" on TI web site.

TPS2111 ic can be a good solution.

TPS2111 ic can be a good solution.

HI there!
The TPS2111 IC has maximum output current 1,25 A. But GM862 Module needs at least 2 A.

Do you know if there is an alternative ic like TPS2111 that has output current 2 A or more?

Thank you in advance!
