Synplify get hostid problem under RH Linux 8.0

When running Synplify / Pro 7.x in my RH linux 8.0 workstation, the license dialog shows it read the lastest byte of Ethernet ID as the HOSTID, such as "e4", "82", but even if I use that number as a hostid in license file, it always give out an "invaild host" message. Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
