1. Step 1. Only Main Window (in IDE IAR EW).
File > New > Workspace
2. Step 2. Project > Create New Priject
3. Step 3. "+" Generic project templates > Assembler project > OK
4. Step 4. To create folder for Workspace1 with Project1

(save).

I have IAR Emb. Workbench v.8.30. Need to create program for microcontroller AT89S52.
My question: How to create output file *.bin or *.hex ?

There is an option in Project settings to generate .hex file. You have to check it.

Iz it file *.r51 binary format file?
