Hi,
i have installed ic5032 under linux with the NCSU design kit and want to create a simple layout. as i know i have to do the following steps:

1. draw the schematic (with a technology library attatched to the design library)
2. choose (in the schematic composer) tools-->design synthesis-->device level editor (see hxxp://turquoise.wpi.edu/cds/examples/auto.1.html)

but in my ic5 version unter the menu tools--> design synthesis there are only CSI and Layout XL. if i choose Layout XL, i got a layout window opened, but not the 2 red rectangles which represent the 2 transistors like in hxxp://turquoise.wpi.edu/cds/examples/auto.1.5_big.html.

can someone help me?

greetings,
hqqh

I have finished this tutorial:
In Virtuoso's menu: Design : There is a selection:gen from source;
It will ask u to locate the area of layout and the layers of the pins.

automatic layout generation?
