hi,
I am having confusion in 2 pin diode pin numbering,
In my boards i use to follow that anode as pin 1 and cathode as pin 2.
but few of my friends follow the reverse way..
can any one let me know the standard numbering convention for diodes

Thanks

diode pin numbering

hello, kumar
what they said is correct
pin 1 is cathode and pin 2 is anode
this is a standard numbering

diode pin numbering

But in my earlier work place we use to follow pin 1 as anode unless otherwise specified by the manufacturer.
can you upload any supportive document on the same.

thanks
