Hi All,

Why it's necessary to open/close pages while working with SRAM? What does it mean?

What does the term "precharge" mean in terms of SRAM?

What does the term "bank" mean in terms of SRAM? Does saying "close the SRAM bank" mean the same as "close the SRAM row"?

Thank you!

I've never seen an SRAM with banks.

I think you are confusing SRAM with DRAM.

Hi All,
What does the term "precharge" mean in terms of SRAM?
Thank you!

Before a read cycle we precharge both bit lines BL and BLB, i.e. drive the bit lines to a threshold voltage. Then we assert the word line WL, enabling both the access transistors which causes that the bit line BL voltage to either slightly drop or rise which is sensed by sense amplifier.

I think you are confusing SRAM with DRAM.
I meant SDRAM - Synchronous Dynamic RAM

Hi,
Bank means a collection of registers or memory devices. As mentioned by Rahdirs the precharge circuit is used to charge the capacitors on the bit lines.Because the Capacitors play a major role in order to read and write.
