SPI 8bit Master to 16 bit slave

Hi,

I am using Freescale's HCS08 core based controller to interface a peripheral, which has 16 bit SPI module. How can I configure the Microcontroller to communicate to the 16 bit slave

spi 8 bit 16 bit

SPI is generally using a multiple of 8-bit as data size. Nothing to configure in particular.
Activate CS (usually low), send two bytes, deactivate CS.
