Hi all.
I am a phonetician and I am trying to get formant frequencies in bark from the poles of a lpc applied to a spectrum in bark (actually it is a plp spectrum). Normally I get formant frequencies in Hz from an lpc computed on a Hertz spectrum finding the roots of the poles and then transforming from radians to H with the classical formula:

F=(sampling_freq/2pi)arctan(img(z)/real(z))

where z is my my complex zero.

can some one tell me how to do that in the case described above? I tried to express the sampling_freq in bark in the above formula but it doesn't work!

thanks in advance,

Leonardo
