tsmc90nm and forum

I use the tsmc 90nm cadence designkit with cadence 5.1.41 and spectre simulator. When I try to simulate a simple current mirror using the nch mos devices then I got following error:

Error found by spectre during circuit read-in.
"/u/55/55/cadence/DesignKits/tsmc/tsmc90nm/tsmcN90rf/../models/spectre/CRN90LP_2d5_lk_v1d2p1.scs"

spectre terminated prematurely due to fatal error.

I know the problem lies somewhere in the CRN90LP_2d5_lk_v1d2p1.scs file where the sections are loaded that contain these parameters. But do not know how to solve problem exactly. I tried to change the order of the loaded sections but then got other errors. I think there's some mistake in the model file. Please help. Thanks.

model error tsmc + 90 nm

I think is Spectre problem. What version of Spectre are you using? Try 6.2 ...

Are you at TU?

good luck,
Marius

spectre unknown parameter name

You may try new edition icfb (5141 usr5??) or IC610
I meet the same problem
Does anybody have solutions???
Thanks for your help.

tsmc 90nm and simulation errors

This is because the spectre shipped with IC5141 does not support the new BSIM4 models. You should use the spectre shipped with MMSIM6x or even MMSIM71.

Thanks in advance..

Re: spectre simulation problem using tsmc 90nm cadence desig

Dear all,
so what is the problem?
Is it due to old version of IC5?
can I run this PDK on IC5?
I mean if it should be used for IC6.0.2.247 and later, can i run in a compatibility mode for ic5?

thanx in advance,
Mohamed Abouzied
